Mexico 5 - Argentina 0 -- COPA AMERICA VENEZUELA 2007!!!Comienzos (1930 - 1970) [editar]M茅xico particip贸 en la primera Copa Mundial en Uruguay 1930 perdiendo todos sus partidos y finalizando como 煤ltimo lugar de su grupo. Protagoniz贸 el primer encuentro de una Copa del Mundo ante Francia, perdiendo por 4 a 1. En los partidos restantes, caer铆a ante Chile (0 - 3) y Argentina (3 - 6) Desafortunadamente M茅xico no pudo reaparecer en el torneo de 1934 al caer ante Estados Unidos por 4 - 2 en Roma, y en 1938 se adhiri贸 al boicot americano de dicha copa. En Brasil 1950 se queda nuevamente en la primera ronda al caer ante el anfitri贸n Brasil (0 - 4), Yugoslavia (1 - 4) y Suiza (1 - 2); en este 煤ltimo juego el combinado mexicano visti贸 camisetas a rayas azules y negras proporcionadas por el Gremio de Porto Alegre. Para el mundial de Suiza 1954 el panorama no cambi贸 con dos derrotas nuevamente ante Brasil (0 - 5) y Francia (2 - 3). Pero en el campeonato de Suecia 1958, el Tricolor obtiene su primer punto en una Copa del Mundo, al empatar a uno contra Pa铆s de Gales; a cambio, acept贸 derrotas de Suecia (0 - 3) y Hungr铆a (0 - 4). Sin embargo, despu茅s de cuatro copas mundiales jugadas por fin obtuvo su primera victoria en el mundial de Chile 1962, al derrotar por 3 a 1 a Checoslovaquia.
